Wanted: Obama Transition Team

posted November 16, 2008

Rahm-BarackThe Obama transition team is seeking dedicated individuals who will be happy to help the transition team in any capacity. The team is located in downtown DC in a metro accessible location.

Tasks will range from answering phones in the call center, greeting and escorting visitors in the welcome center, handling the mail, making copies and other special projects that will provide support to the transition staff.

The team needs to collect resumes and gauge schedule availability as it expands. Hours are M-Fri 9 to 9, Sat 9-5, Sun 10-3. There are three shifts during the work week (9-2, 1-6, 6-9) so the team does not need people to work a full 12 hour day. They are looking for people who could be available two or three days a week for the next 6 weeks.

The team is looking for volunteers who have flexible schedules and would be willing to work during the day. Of course, evening and weekend shifts are available, but the team is busier during the day.

Once the team selects volunteers, it will send the forms and details for on-boarding.
