For a few years now the Lee District Democratic Committee has observed Independence Day with our Liberty Luau as a celebration of Democratic values. Particularly during the Bush administration and it’s complete lack of respect for the law and freedom this was a necessary celebration. In times that appear so good politically with a Democratic President, we need to remind ourselves of the need to work hard for Democrats locally, especially this year for our Delegates and our state-wide races for Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General.
