Join Scott to show support for his candidacy for the House of Delegates (44th District, Kris Amundson retiring from the General Assembly). Scott needs your help this weekend as he marches in the Waynewood Recreation Association (WRA) parade (Scott graduated from Waynewood Elementary and his two oldest children go there now). We need to show everyone just how strong Scott’s support in the area is. There are two ways you can help make Saturday a success.

• Friday evening 4-7
  Get together at the Surovell 2009 HQ (7650 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, Virginia 22306; map: http://tinyurl.com/Surovell2009HQ) to make signs for the parade. We’ll have pizza and soft drinks. Kids are welcome! We’ll have basic sign-making supplies, but feel free to bring extras.
• Saturday morning at 8:45
  Meet at Amy Bowman’s house (8927 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, VA 22308; map, click here), a few blocks from the parade route, to get organized and start preparing. They’ll have signs, stickers, candy, and a bunch of patriotic gear, then head over to the Waynewood Elementary parking lot, the official parade staging ground. Once the parade starts, they will walk the three blocks down Waynewood Blvd. to the WRA park. At the end of the parade,  people will be needed to help take down signs and help the WRA with cleanup.

We need Scott’s supporters to come out strong, so please plan to attend on Saturday. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with the campaign if you have any questions and feel free to invite your friends and bring your little ones!
