For the open seat left by the retiring Kris Amundson (44th District, 2 precincts in Lee District – Groveton & Fairfield), Scott Surovell is the only person to have filed by the 5 pm Friday July 3rd deadline (therefore scheduled caucus cancelled). As the only person to file, Surovell is the Democratic candidate (Surovell2009.com) who will be faced by Republican, Jay McConville (GoJay.org).
