Cuccinelli Thinks VA Can Fairly Redistrict Without Oversight

Dec 8th, 2010 | By | Category: Redistricting

Speaking with the Washington Post (“Cuccinelli: Va. should examine opting out of Medicaid, ending federal oversight of redistricting”), Virginia’s Republican, uber-conservative Attorney General said that, “The state has also moved beyond the point where it needs the federal government to oversee and approve its legislative redistricting process”. Considering Cuccinelli’s partisan and restrictive endeavors from the day he was elected one can’t possibly imagine that redistricting in Virginia would be fair or equitable without outside monitors in the current political climate under the McDonnell administration. Letting this fox watch over the hen house is the last legislative redistricting thing Virginians would ever want.

Contact the Department of Justice to tell them you want to make sure that Ken Cuccinelli should not have his way, and that Virginians want to make sure the McDonnell-Cuccinelli partisanship does not interfere with fair and equitable redistricting, click here.
