Senate Candidates for Ticer Seat Hold First Debate
Apr 19th, 2011 | By LDDC | Category: Reports
Virginia State Senator Patsy Ticer (D-30th) announced her retirement from the General Assembly earlier this year. Three candidates have emerged to vie for that seat: Adam Ebbin, Libby Garvey and Rob Krupicka. A primary election is planned for August 23rd (that date was put into jeopardy last week when Governor Bob McDonnell vetoed the redistricting plan already passed by the General Assembly).
The first debate among the three was held Thursday, April 18th sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association. About 60 people attend the lunch time debate held at the Salvation Army’s Alexandria headquarters. Questions written and submitted by the audience followed opening remarks from each candidate.
