Voting in the August 23rd Democratic Primary

Aug 11th, 2011 | By | Category: Committee News

The only Democratic Primary Election in Lee District is for the 30th Senate District – a mere 12 days away. Senator Patsy Ticer is retiring and three terrific Democratic candidates are running for that seat: Adam Ebbin, Libby Garvey and Rob Krupicka. More details about this Primary Election, click here.

Do you live in the 30th Senate District?
See the district map, click here (Lee District and the 30th Senate District with poll locations).

Where do you vote?
Check where you vote, along with your registration status, click here (the Virginia State Board of Elections site; you’ll be asked to enter your name, last four digits of your Social Security number and birthdate). You will vote in the same location you have voted for the last 10 years, since last redistricting was done. Some locations have changed for the General Election, but not for the Primary Election (exception: 2 precincts in Fairfax, not in Lee District).

With redistricting you’ll want to make sure where you vote and what district(s) you are in. If you are already registered to vote, there is no need to register again; however, it is a good idea to check your voter registration (see this article from the Patch about redistricting and voting).

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Polls are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.
