Virginia Congressional Redistricting Plan Approved by DOJ

The Associated Press reports in a letter Wednesday that the Department of Justice approved the Congressional Redistricting Plan submitted (HB 251). The plan increases the proportion of black voters in Virginia’s minority-dominant 3rd congressional district from 56 percent to about 60 percent. See the maps: NEW v. OLD.
