It was a late night at Red Rocks last night, where music and environmentalism met with Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, along with speakers like Robert Kennedy Jr., our own Gov.Tim Kaine, and William McDonough, author of “Cradle to Cradle.”
When I attended my first informal meeting of Obama supporters back in March 2007, I figured it was my first foray into politics and I’d probably just end up handing out flyers on election day or something. No big deal. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
My adventure to Denver began early this morning, when my plane finally took off from the runway at 6 a.m. It had been a long time coming, and although I’d only slept for about three hours last night I was still fired up and ready to go when my alarm went off at 4 a.m.

The selection of Delegates to the Congressional District Conventions in May, State Convention in June at GMU, and National Convention in September in Charlotte is quite a process, and to learn more about it we have some helpful resources.
Following the 2010 Census (pop. 118,949) and redistricting, Lee District is one of nine Supervisor Districts in Fairfax County Virginia with 23 precincts and just over 69,000 registered voters (1.3% of all active registered voters in Virginia, 9.8% of those in Fairfax County). Across these 23 precincts, Lee District is represented by two United States Congressional Districts (the 8th and 11th), four Virginia Senate Districts (the 30th, 35th, 36th and 39th), and three Virginia Delegate Districts (the 39th, 43rd, and 44th). 28 elected officials represent Lee District: 23 are Democrats. The Lee District Democratic Committee (LDDC) is a magisterial district committee within the Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC). Our mission is to elect Democrats to public office. As part of FCDC, LDDC is part of the Fairfax County arm of the Democratic Party of Virginia and serves to help promote the principles of the Democratic Party and elect Democratic Candidates to offices at the County, State and National level.
