The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Hilton Springfield invite the local business community to meet and greet the candidates for the 8th and 11th Districts, US House of Representatives. Thursday, September 9, 2010 5:00 pm, Springfield Hilton (6550 Loisdale Road, Springfield, VA 22150).  Invited candidates include:

• 8th District: James P. “Jim” Moran – D, incumbent; J. Patrick Murray – R, challenger.
• 11th District: Gerald E. “Gerry” Connolly – D, incumbent; Keith S. Fimian – R, challenger.

The deadline for Candidate Certification with the State Board of Elections is April 14th and all three Northern Virginia Congressional races, in the 8th, 10th and 11th Districts will be unopposed, meaning that there are no primary races required for the candidates.
