The Immediate Benefits of Health Reform

President Obama raises the point that health reform will not only have long-term advantages for the country but will have immediate protections and benefits this year if passed by Congress.

We don’t usually do this, but the Weekly Republican response delivered by Rep. Parker Griffith (R-AL) was so laughably inaccurate, that we’ve included the link to view it here.

It would raise taxes, slash Medicare benefits and destroy American jobs. It would put federal bureaucrats in charge of medical decisions that should be made by patients and doctors. And it must be stopped.”

But when the Union was turned back at Bull Run and the Allies first landed at Omaha Beach, victory was very much in doubt. When the market crashed on Black Tuesday and civil rights marchers were beaten on Bloody Sunday, the future was anything but certain. Read more
