Who can become a member?
You must be a resident of Fairfax County.
Most members are registered voters, but there are no restrictions on
age. High school students who have been active, enthusiastic
volunteers have been elected to FCDC membership.
How do you become a member?
Membership is a three-step process.
- Contact one of our District Co-Chairs (Scott
Robinson,
Hugh
Robertson). You may be asked to attend
Lee District Committee meetings
and get to know our members.
- You may apply for membership if there are openings on the
Lee District Committee. The Lee District Committee members vote
to recommend your
application.
- Applicants who are recommended by the Lee District Committee are voted on
and confirmed
by the full FCDC membership. When you are approved by the FCDC
membership - congratulations, you will then be a voting member of
FCDC!

Who Is A Member? |
 |
| |
Virginia does not have voter registration by
Party. All residents of Fairfax County who support the principles of
the Democratic Party are eligible to become members; however, the
organized Party consists of Democrats who are elected to the Fairfax
County Democratic Committee (FCDC) and thousands of volunteer
supporters.
Membership is a biennial process, and the current term will be for
2008-9. Members may join any time during a biennium, and must
renew each biennium.
