New House and Senate Districts Approved

Friday the Department of Justice approved the redistricting plan submitted by Virginia, HB5005, that redraws the House of Delegates and Senate district boundaries following the 2010 census.

For Lee District that means one new Senate district, the 35th (D-Saslaw), and one less House district, the 45th (D-Englin). These newly approved district boundaries will therefore be used in the upcoming primaries, caucuses and the November 8th General Election. Thank you to Delegate David Englin who has served Lee District with distinction, and welcome to Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw.
